Sathiraju Sankara Narayana (Shankar) aged 76 years, after retiring from All India Radio as Station Director in 1995, took to portrait drawing in pencil, charcoal and ink on A4 size paper. As on October 2012, he drew around 1500 portraits of eminent personalities belonging to different fields like music, politics, industry, films, philosophy, etc
